Play final reflection

The play is called “The curious Incident of the dog in the nighttime” by Mark Haddon.  I viewed it November 18th on YouTube.  I also saw willjam’s solo performance because he sent it to me. The story is about a boy with autism. He finds his neighbors dog dead in her front yard with a pitchfork in it. Christopher goes to the dog and holds it and a cop comes and questions him, he ends up having to spend a couple hours in jail. His dad comes and picks him up from jail and tells him not to try to solve the mystery of who killed the dog    Which of course makes Christopher want to very badly especially because a part of his autism is that he loves a project. He starts asking around the the neighborhood to try to find out who killed Mrs Shears dog and he finds out that Mr shears left her 2 years ago. Christopher’s father finds out that he’s been asking questions around the neighborhood and tells him to stop again. Of course Christopher keeps on trying. One of his neighbor...

4-6 -Siobhan finds people confusing because of how different facial expressions can mean so many different things - Siobhan does odd jobs with a Swiss Army knife 12-15 - Christopher’s mom is in the hospital and he can’t visit her - He said today was a good day and a good day is for a project so he wants to find out who killed the dog - he finds out his mom dies and asked what type of heart attack she had - he goes to mrs shears house to find out who killed the dog and she tells him to leave or she’ll call the cops 42-44 - Christopher reads a letter from his mom - she explains how she was a bad mom and was impatient and didn’t understand or put up with his autism - she explains a bad story that made her feel like she couldn’t do it anymore and explained why her and his dad started to fight and why she left. 85-87 - in this scene Christopher’s mom is trying to get him to leave school and he doesn’t want to and throws a tantrum - his dad tries to help him but it only kinda w...

Paragraphs about performances

Look at two different videos of poem performances (I posted them on the blog). What do they emphasize about the original poems and how do they get you to think differently about the original poems? What do the performances accomplish in bringing the poems to the stage? Be specific and be sure to read over the original poem and refer to it. This will count as a quiz grade. 300-600 words.   Video 1 I Too.  This poem emphasized everything about the poem because the narrator just read the entire poem. I think the kids in the video emphasized that they will feel ashamed for making the darker brother sit in the kitchen when people are eating. At the end the darker brother gets mad and loses his cool when he’s told to leave and it looks like he’s about to punch the other kid that’s a bad way to handle the situation. I think that was a bad part to emphasize because the poem shouldn’t be about blowing up on the people who have wronged u, it should be about coming together and ...
